Village of Gowanda Step 1 BOA Pre-Nomination Study Selected for WNY APA Section Award

The Village of Gowanda Step 1 BOA PreNomination Study has been selected to receive a 2017 Planning Award in the category of Comprehensive Planning for the WNY APA Section. The BOA Project Team is thrilled to be recognized along with the Village and all of the Steering Committee Members who have been working tirelessly to ensure the vision for the future of Gowanda  is achieved. The efforts to implement real projects with positive and measurable results in the Village are what have made this project successful thus far and will continue to keep GO-Wanda on the MOVE!

All are invited for a free and informational meeting recapping the results of the Step 1 Brownfield Opportunity Area Pre-Nomination Study as well as to celebrate the progress the Village of Gowanda has made to-date in it’s efforts to revitalize the community.

Site and Community Visioning Tours Planned for Saturday, February 27

Join Village Municipal Leaders, the Project Team, fellow citizens, and community stakeholders for a morning of Re-envisioning the Village of Gowanda!

Join Us on February 27, 2016!

To help focus its revitalization efforts, the Village of Gowanda has undertaken a number of significant efforts which have resulted in the potential for additional plans for moving forward with individual aspects of community redevelopment. One of these efforts, the NYS Brownfield Opportunity Area Step 1 Pre-Nomination Study, which is lead by C&S Companies, is currently in progress. In order to ensure that the local community is given a voice in the redevelopment planning for the Study Area, we are extending an open invitation to join us for the second round of Site Analysis and Community Visioning Tours, which will take place on February 27, 2016, beginning at 10 am at Village Hall, with the second to begin at 12 pm.
