Gowanda receives grant for new rescue truck
On Tuesday afternoon, Sen. Catharine Young (R,C,I-57th District) donated a capital grant of $200,000 to the village of Gowanda to put towards a brand new fire rescue truck.

The Gowanda Recreation “Learn to Ski” program will hold registration on Monday,
October 22 in the Village Board Room located at 27 East Main Street from 6 to 7:30
pm. Students in grades 5 through 12 from Gowanda and the surrounding school
districts are eligible to participate. Call Recreation Director Mark Benton at 532-
