Friendly reminder that winter parking is in effect. No overnight parking on Village streets is permitted between 12:00 am (midnight)- 7:00 am. From November 1st-April 1st. This will be strictly enforced.

RESOLUTION DESIGNATING OFFICES TO BE FILLED AND THEIR ASSOICATED TERMS FOR THE March 18, 2025 VILLAGE ELECTIONS

WHEREAS, Board of Trustees of the Village of Gowanda must designate by Resolution and publish the offices which are to be filled in such election and the terms thereof,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees hereby designates the following offices as vacant at the end of the current year, to be filled at the Village Election, for the following offices and terms:

Office              Term

Mayor              Two (2) years

Trustee            Two (2) years

Trustee            Two (2) years

Trustee            One (1) years

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Election shall be conducted in the Gowanda Village Hall 27 East Main St, Gowanda New York on Tuesday March 18, 2028 from 12:00 Noon-9:00 PM.

The March board meeting will take place on March 4th at 6PM.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with NAMI-NYS is pleased to introduce a Handle with Care Registry. The intent of the registry is to better prepare our deputies and emergency responders to provide improved care for your loved one. Caregivers are welcome to use the registry for special needs (i.e.: Autism, Down Syndrome, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Substance Abuse). One of NAMI-NYS’s leading priorities in mental health crisis is to ensure an appropriate mental health response.
