The Village is requesting proposals from qualified Certified Public Accountants for accounting services. Beginning on Friday, February 27th, RFP documents may be obtained at the Village Clerk’s office. The return date for proposals is Friday, March 13th, at 11:00.
The Village of Gowanda is accepting sealed bids for Village-wide garbage and trash pickup until 2:00 p.m. on March 13, 2015. The services consist of garbage and recyclable pickup for approximately 1250 units in the Village. Trash and yard waste pickup could be provided as well. Said services are to be provided for a three year period. Copies of the specifications may be obtained at the Village of Gowanda, 27 East Main Street, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
The Village of Gowanda held a public hearing on Tuesday, February 24th, at 7:00 p.m. to discuss a proposed water rate increase. A special meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd, at 6:00 to make a decision. A power point presentation was prepared by Public Works Superintendent Jason Opferbeck. Copies of the slides are available at the clerk’s office for anyone who wishes to review them.
